A Market Shield™ Mortgage is an innovative way for you to finance and protect the cash flow of your commercial or multi-family residential building. The loan’s signature feature is that your payments fluctuate with your local market rental conditions, protecting your building’s cash flow. Our proprietary financing structure (based on US patent #7155468) shields you when you need it most.
How does a Market Shield™ mortgage loan work?
If you have a Market Shield™ Mortgage and your local rental market softens by 10%, your payments will be reduced by 10% at an agreed adjustment date that can correspond to your tenants’ lease renewals. If the market strengthens, your payments will increase but should be more than offset by your stronger rent receipts.
